Holiday in North Wales 2003 - Day 5 - Part I

On day 5 we decided to climb a mountain! Both Ang and I had already climed Snowdon a few times in the past, so we decided to do something different. After some advice from my Dad we decided to climb "Devil's Kitchen" and then up to Trefyn.

Above & Below: The climb started as a gentle walk up to and then along a lake. Can you see the rock slide in the mid-right of the picture above? Thats where the path took us up!!

Above & Below: Climbing up the rocks was very hard work!!

Above & Below: Once on the top the view was fantastic. We had our sandwhiches, and then turned south to climb Trefyn!!

Above & Below: The views from the top were fantastic!! The very pointy mountain second from the right above is Snowdon. It was very windy on top - which is why my hair is sticking up!!

Above: Looking across on the Isle of Anglesey - you can see the Menai straight as well - a channel of water separating the island from the mainland.
