On
day three we drove through Carnarvon and around it's famous casle,
stopped off for some shopping and lunch in Bangor, then crossed
across the Menai straight to the Isle of Anglesey.

Above
& Below: The first town we stopped
off at on Anglesey was Beaumaris.
It was really pretty with colourful buildings,
a pier and castle.

After
leaving Beaumaris we travelled North towards Hollyhead. Travelling
through the town we headed out to a nature reserve called the "South
Stack". On the way to the sea cliffs we stopped off at some
very old Hut Circles (above) in a settlement dating
from around 2000 BC!!

& Below: The
South Stack. The light house is on an island that you get to by
crossing a bridge. During the right time of the year, these sea
cliffs would be covered with nesting birds.

Above
& Below: We
went for a walk along the sea cliffs. The scenery was amazing!

On
the way back to our cottage we stopped to take a picture of the
sunset. It was the first time we'd seen the sun all day and boosted
our confidence for good weather for the rest of the week.
