in North Wales 2003 - Day 1

Day
1 started in cloudy Cambridge so we quickly jumped into the car
and started along the A14, then M6 towards Birmingham. Once past
Birmingham we headed across on the motorway towards Shrewsbury where
we stopped off at Tescos to stock up on food for the rest of the
week. The rest of the journey we made cross country to Porthmadog
and then along the Lleyn Peninsula to Morfa Nefyn. The scenery was
beautiful and a huge change to flat as a pancake Cambridgeshire!!!

We stayed in a friends cottage that was
along an overgrown track in the middle of a field!

& Below: After we'd unpacked the car
we went for a walk down to the beach. It was overcast but still
very scenic - living in Camridge we don't see many hills!

Every night we lit a cosy coal fire in
the living room - much better than our fake one at home!
