Al's Trip to Ireland - Day 1 - Part I

After picking the car up from Cork Airport we travelled to the 2 hours to Bantry and then headed along the peninsular to the cottage. Needless to say, with Jon navigating and Rob driving we managed to get ourselves lost. Rob even tried a bit of off roading in new Renault Megane we had hired!!

Above & Below: The town of Bantry. Visiting Ireland felt like going back in time 50 years. There were no retail chains in sight - instead we had O'Murphy's buthers, and O'Conners Pharmacy!! Very strange - but cool.

Below: After visiting Bantry to stock up on food we headed off down the peninsular in search of danger.

Above & Below: Jon decided to climb the local cliff, while Rob & I took photos. The cloud was pretty fantastic - it was like a blanket - but it didn't move!!
