USA 2002 - Yosemite - Leaving Yosemite

Yosemite: 1 - 2 - 3

Driving out of Yosemite was equally as impressive as the valley itself. The scenery was absolutely stunning! Little did we know that by the evening we'd have swapped the snow capped mountains for the desert of death valley!!

BELOW: Ang soaked in the sun.

ABOVE & BELOW: We stopped to take some photos looking the opposite way down the valley than we'd done on our walk. You can see Half Dome again, and also a face in mountain (below).

BELOW: Snow capped mountains! 6 hours later, it was 47C and we were in the dessert!

ABOVE: From our campsite we drove along the top of Death Valley and stopped near the lake to look back down the valley (shaded). We then travelled east out of the park and then south towards Death Valley. Some of scenery outside of the park amazing, but I didn't get any pictures - so I'm hoping that either Jon or Dave can send them to me. So watch this space.
