2002 - San Francisco - Independence Day
San
Francisco: 1 - 2 - 3
- 4 - 5 - 6
Luckily,
we were in San Francisco for Independence Day. The crowds were huge,
but we still managed to enjoy ourselves listening to live music
and watching the fireworks in the evening.

ABOVE:
Tall ships came out for the celebrations.

ABOVE
& BELOW: We
arrived in the afternoon and sat down in a park overlooking the
Golden Gate Bridge. There were lots of live music, food and atmosphere
to soak in.

Al eating candy corn.
BELOW:
The view of Alcatraz wasn't bad either!

BELOW:
The fireworks display in the evening were
spectacular! From our vantage point we could see right across the
bay to other displays taking place. The display nearest to us was
launched from two boats out in the water. We watched from a pier
about 150m from the coast. It was so crowded that it took us nearly
30 minutes to get off the pier once the display had finished!
