USA 2002 - Grand Canyon

Grand Canyon : 1 - 2 - 3

From Lake Mead we travelled to the Grand Canyon via the Kaibab Plateau. We set up camp in the Kaibab Forest about 30 minutes drive from the North Rim.

ABOVE: This was one of the nicest campsites we stayed at. In the middle of the forrest we were able to search for firewood and have an open fire in the evening.

ABOVE & BELOW: Our first glimpse of the canyon was quite spectacular. It was absolutely huge - the enourmity of the scale was breath taking.

ABOVE & BELOW: We spent a day on the North Rim driving from view point to view point. Unfortunately the sky was cloudy, so the colours didn't show up as well as we'd hoped.
