Day 2 - Stubai Valley

We arrived in the Stubai Valley, south west of Innsbruck on the afternoon of Day 2. Driving up the valley we really felt like we'd arrived in Austria - steep mountain cliffs on each side, and lush green pastures in the valley. On the look out for a "white church" we finally found our campsite but it was closed till later in the afternoon, so we decided to go up the mountain on a cable car...

Having got to the top of the mountain on the cable the views and scenery were amazing. There were loads of paragliders jumping off the top.

Above: At the top we went for a short walk - and the scenery was breath taking!

After setting up our tent in the campsite we went into the little village and had our first real taste of Austrian food. We both ordered off the set menu and ate a chicken dish with funny cabbage, and mashed potatoes!!
