Austria
2002 - Seefeld
Day
4 - On the Lake
On
day 4 we made the short hop from Neustift to Seefeld, just north
of Innsbruck to a lovely campsite that was almost empty! We, had
the pick of the plots and decided to pitch on a raised part of the
field with a view right across the valley. We were right next to
forested areas and alpine pastures, and so were surrounded by butterflies,
bees & my favourite, DRAGON FLIES!!

We pitched our tent on a ledge over
looking the campsite.

After
we'd pitched our tent we walke up the road to village. Al's parents
spent their honeymoon in Seefeld, so it was quite exciting to be
there. We had a traditional Austrian lunch - Al had sausage and
chips, while Ang had a cheezy salad. We then headed off to the lake
and rented a boat.

The backdrop to the lake was quite
impressive, with mountains towering in every direction. It was quite
a hot day so we decided to jump in the lake for a quick swim.

In
the early evening the weather turned, and there was a big thunderstorm!
We sat in the car for safety until the storm had passed.

had gone, amazing condensation started to form on the top of the
trees.

Again
that evening we had our dinner at a restraunt - another Italian
one! The food was great - and the atmosphere in the restraunt was
really relaxing.

where Al's parents spent their honeymoon!
