Sydney Zoo
With half a day to spare before we flew up to Cairns we deiced to visit the world famous Sydney zoo. Its built on the hillside overlooking the main city of Sydney offering a great Skyline as we walked round and looked at the animals. After having been to Singapore zoo less than a week earlier we didn't think the zoo was quite as good - but we still had a good time and enjoyed seeing some of the more unusual animals.

Being right on the coast, the zoo gave great views across Sydney harbour to the city centre. It was an impressive backdrop to the animals.

We got up close to some kangaroos.

Saw a some fantastic tricks by seals.

Saw my favourite animals in the world. Meercats!! They were so cute!

On the ferry back from the zoo we saw the Sydney skyline for one last time. Again the weeather had been absolutely amazing considering we were slap bang in the middle of their winter! Although our stay in Sydney had been a great experience, we were ready to head off on our next adventure.... up to Queensland!
