Norfolk Coast Seal Trip - Beach & Boats
On a Sunny Saturday in September, Ang drove us up (yes, drove!!) the A10 past Hunstanton to the north Norfolk coast. She'd booked us a boat trip with the possibility of spotting some seals. We spent the morning and lunch time at the beach, before heading further along the coast to catch our boat... did we see any seals? Read on to find out!!

Above: For our lunch break we stopped at this gorgeous beach above! The white sands went on for miles!

Below: Using the 14x zoom on my camera really brought the layers of sand and sea together in this picture!

Below: After our leisurely lunch, we drove futher along the coast to the point we would swap our car for a boat.Arriving at the harbour it was apparent that the tide was out, so we'd have to wait a while before we could make a start across the sea.

Above: Slowly the tide came in and it was soon time to jump on board the boats.

Above & Below: Heading out through a channgel, and then into a bay, we were on our way to a sand spit just off the coast. The journey took just over 20 minutes to get there.

Above: There were quite a lot of seal spotting boats out on the same day, and we could see them congregating in the distance next to a sand spit... and then the seals were just about in view.
