Bike Ride in Thetford Forest

Yesterday Big Jon and his wife Rachel visited us from London, so we decided to go mountain biking in Thetford Forest to pass the time, and get some exercise! We went on the black trail, which is apparently for the physically fit and experienced mountain bikers of which we were neither, - but somehow we seemed to get round without misshap (well almost). It was a fantastic day to catch up with friends and enjoy the great outdoors.

I Need Chocolate!!

Started a mini-diet today (well, still not decided whether its worth it) and am already craving for chocolate... I need some right now!! Please help.

Xbox 360 Countdown

The countdown to the Xbox 360 has begun. Microsoft has launched a website aimed at increasing interest in the launch of the new console. This form of "advertising" is called a virul campaign as it develops interest with all the internet geeks who try to trawl the internet to find meaning behind the obscure changes to the web page!! Since the pages' launch at the end of August the bunny has moved, and fruit has appeared on the tree. Keep checking back over the next few weeks to see how it develops. Kingfisher goes fishing

While my parents were visiting, we visited the river near Grantchester and sat down to watch the world pass by. My mum commented how lovely it would be to see a Kingfisher... 5 minutes later, one flew along the river and perched opposite us. It then started fishing - right in front of us!! It was in and out of the water every 30 seconds, trying to catch something - but it never did. But what an experience! Click here for more photos.

Parent's Visit

Last weekend my parents and Grandmother came to visit us in Little Thetford. We had a wonderful weekend with amazing weather! We took them around Saffron Walden and Linton, two of the places we are thinking about moving to (yes, we're moving again!!). We also went to Grantchester Meadows (above) where we had afternoon tea and cakes in the gardens. It was a really relaxing weekend, and nice to catch up with the family!
